SFDR Disclosures
The present statement contains, in particular, the disclosures which are required to be made on this website by North Sky Capital, LLC, as a “financial market participant”, in respect of the AIFs under its management (the “AIFs”) under the Regulation (EU) 2019/2088 of the European Parliament and of the Council on sustainability-related disclosures in the financial services sector (the “Sustainability Disclosures Regulation” or “SFDR”).
Sustainability risks
This section constitutes North Sky’s disclosure in accordance with Article 3 (1) of the SFDR
North Sky is committed to incorporating the consideration of sustainability risks into its investment analysis and monitoring processes of its private equity strategies, in accordance with its Environmental, Social and Governance (“ESG”) Policy and in alignment with national (and EU) sustainable finance regulations.
Measuring, managing, and improving the ESG performance of its investments will allow North Sky to identify and manage ESG-related risks that could impact the financial returns of our investments, such as resource scarcity, environmental degradation, human rights violations, and corporate governance issues. Evaluation of ESG-related risks will also allow North Sky to identify and capture other investment opportunities such as new green or sustainable products and services. North Sky therefore believes its commitment to incorporating ESG factors can positively affect the performance of our investments.
During the investment due diligence phase, North Sky evaluates an investment’s impact, both in terms of positive impact (the SDG Mapping) and negative risks (ESG Risk Scan), and its alignment with firm-wide and strategy-specific ESG factors (ESG Check). During the investment management and monitoring phase, North Sky focuses on measuring and assessing the ESG performance of the investee companies and fund managers on an annual basis through the ESG and Impact Survey.
A full copy of North Sky’s ESG Policy is available upon request.
Adverse sustainability impact
This section constitutes North Sky’s disclosure in accordance with Article 4 (1) of the SFDR.
North Sky does not consider the principal adverse impacts of its investment decisions on sustainability factors (“PAIs”) for the moment. As a secondary investor in mostly fund structures, the information North Sky has available for considering the adverse impacts is usually limited and reliant upon the voluntary participation of our investee fund managers. North Sky therefore is of the opinion that the information reported to it in relation to its investments does not enable it to commit to consideration of the PAIs for all investments.
Disclosure in relation to AIFs that are subject to Article 8 of the Sustainability Disclosures Regulation
North Sky publishes and maintains the information required under Article 10 of the Sustainability Disclosures Regulation for its each of its AIFs in scope of Article 8 of the Sustainability Disclosures Regulation through its Investor Portal / data room. Access to North Sky’s Investor Portal / data room is made available to certain potential and existing investors in the AIFs in scope.
