North Sky Capital Invests in Renewable Natural Gas Project in California
Minneapolis, MN – An article from Institutional Investing in Infrastructure (i3) is focused on the announcement that North Sky Capital and Anaergia Services have broken ground on a renewable natural gas facility at the Victor Valley Wastewater Reclamation Authority in San Bernardino County, California.
Below are some of the highlights; the full story is available here (free registration required to access).
- This public-private-partnership between VVWRA, Anaergia and North Sky will utilize Anaergia’s anaerobic digestion retrofit to triple capacity, increase redundancy of existing digester infrastructure, and convert organic waste and sludge into pipeline-quality renewable natural gas.
- The project is expected to reduce more than 6,000 metric tons of methane per year, which otherwise would be flared into the atmosphere.
- The project is located in a San Bernardino County Opportunity Zone.
- “The market for sustainable infrastructure has remained strong throughout 2020, despite the pandemic and economic downturn,” noted Adam Bernstein, managing director at North Sky Capital. “Energy prices rebounded from a temporary trough in early Q2, and there is continued strong momentum at the state level for comprehensive clean energy plans across power, fuels and efficiency.”
